Ive just had the police here. They were very nice. A policeman and a PCSO woman. She rang me friday and said she would ring me on Monday and come up and see me - i thought there would only be her but she brought the policeman along. They had to go not long after - they had a call through.

The funny thing is, had you done what I would have done, (kicked him down the street), they would have been there in 2 minutes and you would have been locked up pronto!

Sorry to hear of your troubles bernie. If I was in your shoes, then I would make an official complaint. There is a procedure in place for doing so, use it.

Lancashire Constabulary - Have a read of that page, there is a link on the page to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

I just can't believe you let someone kick your door for that amount of time before you rang the police. You said they arrived an hour after you rang them, yet this person was kicking you door for two hours? That means you must've waited at least an hour before you even bothered to do anything. If I was a police officer I would've wondered what made you wait so long before taking any action?

Also, I don't understand why someone you don't know would stand outside your door for two hours kicking it. I understand there are stupid people around but I just think you must have over exaggerated the times, because it just sounds unrealistic

I agree though, put in a complaint but I doubt much will get one about it. Is there damage to your property from all this kicking? Neighbours who heard it? Because you will need evidence that a crime was actually committed before they'll believe you.

Zero I am a bit confused.... The Government have decided to give us PCSO's, Increase the paperwork that out police do, underfund them, put more restrictions on them close police stations. We have a county council who are inept, unless you want yet another quality bus route, they love closing old peoples homes, etc and they are both Labour, not Conservative.

So our town council has, as far as I can see, ****** all to do with the farce we call a police force.

it was a drunken idiot that didnt know what day it was. i didnt just sit and do nothing i tried to persuade to go away through the window i was terrified of the drunken lout i thought he would eventually give up n go away. ok?

Why did you not explain that the person verbally treatened you and was trying to break into your house.

I can't help feeling you did not make the situation clear to the Police.
Out of interest did you dial 999? I would have as someone trying to smash your door down to get in the house is an emergency in my book.
