Re: Poll - The next leader of the Labour party
Errrr...who you vote for (as a Labour member) in the actual election does not have to be who you vote for on here. Lets face it, alot of Lib-Dems did not vote for their party to now be in coalition with the Tories - but then again, they didn't have the option of voting against that here.

Re: Poll - The next leader of the Labour party
Can't say any of the above ignite much passion for me.
All a bit too white, middle class, career Blairites and Brownies politicans for me.
Give me old school, fire and brimstone, any day.
If pushed I'd let Graham have a go.

oh i agree, but needs time, so the middle class will have to do fer now, as the likes of Straw would take em into oblivion.IMHO

Re: Poll - The next leader of the Labour party
I want to see Ben Bradshaw put his name forward. I am close to Jon Cruddas and we're meeting for a chat soon. Possibly David Milliband?

Ben Bradshaw was on telly last night. I haven't seen a lot of him, but I was quite impressed.

I met him at a party once, when he was still a journalist at the BBC.
He came across as principled, and determined, and not afraid to speak his mind.
Since being in politics I've only heard, and read good, things about him.
He's someone who'd reignite my interest in party politics.

Lord and Lady Kinnock of How Golden Was My Valley, couldn't afford the drop in income, if they left the European Parliament.

It's not always the favorite who gets the job. Look at David Cameron and the Tory Leaderhip. Cameron was nowhere near the favorite to get that job. You never know what might happen.
