Re: Power cuts

When I had a power cut recently there were 2 things I had overlooked - batteries in an old transistor radio, and a mobile phone with some charge in it

Loads of Tea lights here with a few lanterns to put them in, several candles dotted about, 3 torches knocking around, mobile phone is generally full and have an old wind up radio should the need for entertainment or info gathering arise. The neighbours are a good bunch I think most of us would be checking on each other too…which is nice

Re: Power cuts

Just as a thought. Does an event such as a power cut in your area would get the community spirit roused ?

I remember that night at the Stag by candle light. Thought Roy was going to burn the place down!

I'm quite prepared as we have loads of candles and I know exactly where to lay my hands on a torch so I can find the lighter to light them all.
