Prince Harry accused of racism

It has just been reported that Prince Harry past a friendly remark three years ago to a military Asian colleague, calling him my little packy friend.
The Prince in now being accused of racism.It would be interesting to know who is behind this accusation and what the motive is. I am sure we would hear nothing if a remark calling the prince,my big white honky royal friend was said.

Whilst in the army I had lots of friends, Jocks, Micks,Taffy's, Australians who called us Limey's and Americans who had'nt a bloody clue what to call us all came under the same spotlight. A Black American would call us Honkeys and in return we had a pet saying for them.
This was the real world and not the world of the ******* who try to rule our world today.
I used world three times.....oh dear.
The lad is a sqaddy for god sake...leave him alone...by reason of the fact that he has the balls to fight for his country without claiming benefit or being on the dole as most of the reporters who have picked up on this should be, He should be acclaimed not vilified.

I always associate the word '****' with being a northern thing. I don't believe Prince Harry said that at all.

Surely racism only comes into the frame if prejudice or discrimination is involved. Much ado about nowt in my opinion.

I agree with the point about the frame of mind as well. Things can be said without thinking about the true meaning of them, or misunderstanding what a word means.

Just been watching it on the news and it was a video that Prince Harry was making about his platoon.........it would be interesting to hear what he had to say about his other mates...........these lads (the Prince included) have a hard enough job to cope with..why can't these idiots leave things alone that have nothing to do with anyone else. I am sure that the lad who was involved (the injured party) has nothing to do with the report.

Leave our troops alone to get on with their jobs.

The lads uncle was interviewed, and from what I understood if Prince H ahd called his nephew a pakistani there would have been no problem, it was the word Pakki that caused offence. (probably to the uncle and not the lad in question)

Sounds about right MITZY.... there is always someone in the background ready to jump in.......and the poor people involved get the backlash of it all...........it's aboout time it was put to bed and forgotten about, but no chance of that now that the PC brigade have got involved (yet again)

Of course he should be vilified, using the term 'little' when referring to his '**** friend' shows that he has a prejudice against smaller people!
