'Allo, 'Allo mon ami - some words have crept into my vocabulary - Kronenbourg 1664, vin & cidre. They do tend to corrupt one's pronunciation.

That was in the late '50s/early '60s. Called in one time in the late '60s when on leave in Accrington and the tiles were still there and as it was lunch time i had only had a couple of halves (of local bitter), so not hallucinating then.

only asian landlord i can remember in 60s was in the Horseshoe in Accy, Dougie we called him Top Bloke, took Mill Gap in Darren afterwards i think.
