QUEGS in forgery alert!
Anyone spot the item in the Press about a party from QUEGS on a skiing trip - when all their foreign currency turned out to be forgeries? Apparently got in good faith by the school from a bureau de change in Blackburn, and the whole lot was duff. Apparently Police and the bureau concerned are investigating. But what are the lads doing for dosh?

Re: QUEGS in forgery alert!
When I was at the school, we were always given undetectable forged money to spend on the piste.
How standards have slipped.
I blame co-education.

Re: QUEGS in forgery alert!
Oh ******!!!!!! I was up all night making that cash. I really will have to try harder next time, but I haven't mastered Euros yet...
Seriously, hope it gets sorted soon though I'm sure that nobody will go short of cash on holiday. They will be insured and any money the teachers spend on credit cards will be claimed back.

Lets hope the teachers have got credit cards and not maxed out on them before they went.

Re: QUEGS in forgery alert!
Does this make Blackburn the UK forgery capital then? What gets me is that the Bureau de Change staff cant tell the duff stuff from the real mccoy. Inside job maybe?

Euros must be even easier to forge than Scottish notes.
I lost count of the times, when returning home when I was living up there, of trying to spend my ill gotton dosh in Accy, only to be told that they didn't accept Scottish notes because they get too many forgeries.

Same problem I have after a visit especially the nice crisp new ones.
Scotlands problem is having three banks printing money it causes pain for the uninitiated. Easy to use the forgery line.

Unlike you, and your classmates at Clitheroe Grammar School, we were always taught never to be jealous of anyone.
It also meant you could charge more for your services.

Re: QUEGS in forgery alert!
We had this conversation on Saturday night when I explained that I received my education on merit, not by selling mouldy pies and stale sandwiches

I passed the entrance exam, as well as having the fees paid by selling fondant fancies, thankyou.
See, jealous.
You were taught you could reach for the stars, I was taught I could sh*g them.

You won't reel me in, unless like my spoon, your hook is solid silver.
See, tiddlers like you, I just throw back in the water.
