Ravings of the power hungry

The latest quotes from Osama Bin Laden..

You made one of your greatest mistakes, in that you neither brought to account nor punished those who waged this war,"

"It has now become clear to you and the entire world the impotence of the democratic system and how it plays with the interest of the peoples and their blood by sacrificing soldiers and populations to achieve the interests of the major corporations".

"I invite you to embrace Islam,"

I have 'lurked' on this forum for quite some time and know there are members who follow the Islamic faith. The question I would put to those is...

How would destroying democracy (the right to free speech, the right to freedom of religion, the right to post on a forum like this etc..etc... ) and embracing the dogmatic doctrines of Islam, cure all the ills of the world.

I put it to you, that the ravings of a madman like Osama, should be equated to the doctrines of Jim Jones and Adolf Hitler.

It wouldn’t but it is the sworn duty of every Muslim to promote Islam until the whole world is converted. Fortunately the majority of Muslims do not take that edict literally and are quite happy to live in peace and harmony anywhere in the world.

But the pull of Islam is so strong (much like the Roman Catholics in days gone by) that the radicals can hold sway over the rest.

You are rightjambutty prosperity should breed the radicalism out of them, if not then the only ones left to turn on will be themselves.
