Agree with the fly fishing as I fly fish myself but dont like salmon. My dad is a "weegie" from the gorbals and it was meant in jest. Work with a lot of Glasgow guys and visit regular and find like everywere else a minority are the cause of the labeling.

how about doing voluntary work - you would be doing some good then helping people out and it gives you an interest and you meet different people. I do voluntary work our local credit union and school.

Frottage.

All you need are wax crayons and some paper.

You could have fun in grave yards and churches all over the country.

Re: recommend me a new hobby for 2006

My hobbies are Family History and Photography. I'm really interested in searching out those lost folk and it does tend to take up a lot of spare time. I also transcribe for FreeBMD.

I don't have access to a dark room now but developing photos was such a great thing for me. Especially black and white.

I now have a blog, which makes me use the camera more, even though it's a digital...............still not sure that I approve of those!

Have fun with which ever idea takes your fancy!

I agree with you Junetta, family tree stuff can become addictive. I,ve been at it for about 8 years and still get a kick from finding a new "skeleton".
