Haven't joined up yet, but have taken his card and am thinking about it, even though I wrap up all food left-overs, put them in another bag, and then everything goes in a black bin bag before disposing in the domestic bin.
Does get a bit smelly. Mmmm .. very enterprising ... will think about it.
Somebody has got an eye for business kate, and the price is reasonable too, fair play the the guy

I thought that too Jaysay, he had been doing it for about 4 years now, but had never heard of such a service before.

Didn't see it, but he explained had some sort of special 'vehicle' which lifted it and did it all for them ... so that would have been heavy capital I expect initially. All we had to do was leave it out on the drive after every other domestic bin collection (in my case Wednesdays), and that's when they would treat it.

Re: Recycling changes!!

I don't think I need that service. I only have 4 or 5 carrier bags of non recyclable waste in mine at the collection date. I double up the bags, because some do have small holes, and I tightly knot the handles to avoid leaks.
The only problem I have is when other people use my bin - it is accessible to passersby. This has stopped happening since the red dog bins were installed nearby.

Another point that deters me - 'a choice of smell' - sounds like they are using cheap nasty fresheners. I don't want to have to hold my breath every time I lift the lid.
