I love scarborough............its makes me think of days out with my dad....its like blackpool(and i love blackpool as well) but without the dirt and the cheesyness...

I think it could be romantic as well........in fact, thinking about it now and the memory has the 'haze' (i dont know how to explain it, does anyone know what i mean?)

back to food lol... ive never bought pork belly,rabbit or pheasant..... but might look into cost and reciepes ( i bet i have one somewhere in my cookery book collection lol)

You can't beat fish and chips, in newspaper (but thats not aloud these days elf and safety) Never had Pheasant, or rabbit, but when you think about what you had for tea when you were kids, Potato pie with home made crust, home made Meat Pie, Steak puddng int rag, Rice Pud, Sunday Roast. Now its Pizza, Chop Suey, Tikka Masala, Rogan Josh, all very nice, but give me the olden days anytime

Emamum, just buy youur pork belly( one whole piece if possible), run a little oil in teh skin and sprinkle with salt, roast in a reasoanbly hot oven for 30 mins or so. If you liek it sweet, Marco was brushing it with some honey he had reduced with coriander seeds and star anise. Personally I like it as it comes

Breast of lamb is another cut that people don't use much. Its full of flavour and just grilled for 20 mins is a superb supper!

Spugs making me salmon when he comes down.... he said so last night. Watching that last night has made him nostalgic .. can see it now because i said ive never had rabbit that he'll make rabbit one night. He's taking over the cooking.

During wartime food rationing my dad went rabbiting (in the days before myxamatosis), ....and caught trout in Threebrooks mill lodge.....
all to supplement meagre food rations. We also kept chickens in a terraced house back yard

Pigeon pie is made with Wood Pigeons,unless you want a quick meal.
Then you'd need Racing Pigeon

I dont think wood pigeons look anywhere near as bad as some of their common relatives. A wood pigeon dont forget is quite a large bird, its a log bigger than a normal pigeon and they dont tend to look as scruffy

my dad used to shoot pigeons for a siekh(sp?) family who used to work at Brockhall who always cooked them and ate them...not my cup of tea though
