Re: Rip

A great character - I used to love his programmes and asked for a telescope for Xmas when I was ten because of him. I was given one of his books with it which was a brilliant start to learing about Astronomy. I still have the telescope but sadly the book has gone.

May he rest in peace.

When I leave for work tomorrow morning at 3am, I'll look up at the stars and think of Sir Patrick.

A great man, we will never see the likes of him again.
Not many know that he served as a Navigator during WW2.
Without his maps of the Lunar Surface (Moon) Neil and Buzz may never have made it.
I can only hope that wherever he has gone, Neil Armstrong has a cold beer waiting for him, after all aircrew always head to the bar first.
RIP Sir Patrick

Sir Patrick dies 12 days before the Mayan apocalypse. I was relying on him to find us an alternative planet to live on. What now?
