RIP letter 'T'

Don't know if this has been mooted before but when did the letter 'T' in the middle of a sentence become silent?
e.g. Thir'een, Four'een, Mo'or, Compu'er, Seven'y, to name just a few.
Is enunciation not taught anymore?
Most of the young people I hear exclude the 'T' .
It drives me mad to hear the English language misused in this way.
GRRR!!!

Aw, don't worry about it ... Canadians did away with a lot ot "T"s a coons age ago. Well, we sort of replaced a lot of them with "D". So, if you are ever over here, don't be surprised if you hear the natives refer to our capital city as "Oddawa", and our largest city become "T'ronna" (usually shortened to "TO". And, by the way, the weather here is brudal We still keep it in "Thirteen"; but our vehicles have "modors" and I am sitting at my "compuder".

I actually did, laugh out loud.
It was worth the effort to compliment it in full, (pmsl).

Re: RIP letter 'T'

Due to government cutbacks, several other letters are also due to be removed from the English language. This move will make books shorter, therefore requiring less libraries.

It aggravates me, but strangely I love listening to some Irish accents, that don't pronounce 'th'

'You're a nice looking young lady.'

'Tanks. I'm Telma, and I'm tirty tree'.

Ah, yes, but they never get invited to the Oscars, because they always go to watch a flim.
