Post Rising Bridge incident???

Whilst driving home on Friday night, around 7.30pm, there were around 6 police cars & 3 police vans around the bottom of Hoyle St, Rising Bridge. Does anyone know what was happening. Nothing in the Telegraph to date.

Re: Rising Bridge incident???

I'm looking into it for the Observer, but Lancashire Police press office seem unaware of it.

Is there anything else you can tell me about this incident?

It was on Monday night - there was a problem in one of the streets but it was sorted by 8pm that night.

Re: Rising Bridge incident???

It was an incident which involved gas so hence the large amount of police. The locals were all evacuated to the local pub while the matter was resolved.
