Re: robbery in bold street

Lived on Bold Street until a couple of years ago and in the last 12 years we had

The IRA bomber who was caught on Eastgate
The arson attack on the asian newsagents at the bottom of Bold Street

and now the attack on the shopkeeper however what i would say is that the neighbours we had on Bold Street were really nice people who were proud of their neighbourhood and always looked out for each other and their families so dont be put off by these 3 incidents if you were moving into that area

Re: robbery in bold street

I live on Bold Street lol... we also had one of the drug dealers that were on the front page of the telegraph a while ago when they stung like 19 dealers.

We've also had a car set alight.

The two times Netto has been set on fire.

Stanley Pub set on fire

Lovely place to be.

Re: robbery in bold street

This is on the front page of the telegraph this morning. Seen it when I went into work today
Poor bloke, being hit with that bar
Bad things seem to be happening more often around that side of Burnley Rd
Across from the shop I work in, there was an attempted mugging, the robbery in the off licence, then this beating for the shop worker on Bold Street, apparently some one got mugged on Bold St not long ago too, not sure about that 1 tho as not seen it myself
There was also a drugs bust on Water St the other day

It was stopped before it did any real damage - only reason I know about it is that I was the one who saw the kids running away and so went to check and consequently rang fire brigade.

Re: robbery in bold street

bold street is a nice place. I lived on there for a few years. The neighbours were lovely and it was a nice area. It did occasionally have its share of trouble... But where else hasn't?

Never had coppers knocking on my door so I'll have to take your word on that.
But is does sound like a nice area to come from and not to go to

I live near Bold St; have been here over 5 years now and there are certainly worse places to live in Hyndburn ! Until you have lived in an area you really know nothing about it , I have some very friendly neighbours and it's no rowdier or noisier than any other terraced street.
