Re: Royal Wedding - The poll.
Well, so far, we have five people who are happy with the planned celebration, and think it should be funded from the public purse.
Perhaps three of the five would like to share with us how their councils, in London, Ayrshire, and Hull, are going to celebrate this marriage, and if they as tax payers, are expected to pay for it?

In fairness it is a poll anyone is able to vote in.
Though it is an open poll.
I've always been a little wary of secret ballots, ever since a load of students once joined, voted, then sodded off again. It seemed only to back up one of their little chums, who was losing an argument.
So send in your votes from Scotland, Hull, and London, saying you think we should be forking out for the celebrations.
Howeber the information that's more of interest to me, is the fact that the overwhelming majority of Hyndburn residents, those who'll have to pay for it, don't want it.
That's much more relevant.
It also means the only two locals, dancing in the streets of Hyndburn that day, will be Katex and Neil.
A flash mob twosome.
Bless 'em.

So, lots of people who voted 'no' haven't posted either....
At least the conga line is getting a little longer ...
We'll just hop-a-long regardless:

i am also wary of secret ballots fer the same reason, dont think the conga line is getting longer though kate, doubt very much if they will travel here to join it. though i agree anyone who dont post on a local site whichever way they vote is gutless in my eyes.

Yes, but 94% of the people who voted no, they don't want their council taxes spent of this load of archaic, servile pomp, live in Hyndburn, and are therefore the ones who'll be paying for it.
Some rude, judgemental people, might well say that some other people obviously have more money than sense.
Not being rude, or judgemental, all I'll say is enjoy your dance.
It's hopefully the last waltz.

They have already posted by voting, Cashy .. not like it's secret .... anyone can see who has voted one way or the other.
There are quite a few people who have voted 'no' that don't live in Hyndburn too.

Yes, six percent.
Unlike those who live outside the borough who voted yes. Which currently stands at three out of five, or as a percentage, sixty percent.

Please feel free to vote.
You'll cancel out Tower Hamlet's Little Princess Tippy Toes.

I did vote ..any local taxes spent on any wedding is taking the pee at these times when cuts have been demanded by the government.. no matter where you live.

Click on the poll and all will be revealed.
As for people being gutless you are over reacting just a touch.
The poll isn't exclusive to Hyndburn residents, any member of AccyWeb from anywhere can vote either for or against them. If they want they can post their reasons why they voted the way they did, or not, if they don't want to.
