Sad time
A little boy from Ossy has died of Meningitis, he was only six.
 , he went to the same school as my son, and remember him being a very lively little boy, who always laughed and smiled in the yard.Would like to give my condolenses to the family, and say I am thinking of you at this sad time. R.I.P Marti You will be missed  Meningitis death of six-year-old Oswaldtwistle boy (From Lancashire Telegraph)

I heard about this sad news at the weekend.
Every parent's nightmare, and so little that can be done to prevent it happening. R.I.P.

I am always sad at the news of a death, especially a child, but I feel it more when it's meningitis as that disease killed my husband. The symptoms often come on very rapidly and are not always obvious until it's too late. I feel very deeply for that little boy's parents who must be reeling from the shock.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs, cackling and telling me 'You'll be next.' They stopped when I started doing the same to them at funerals.
