Some of them may be a bit out of date for eample, here in Virginia we have 2 tubs inside the house and only one outside (we really do just not used for that purpose)! Thanks for sharing them.

Think the Accrington Bye-laws included a ban on walking a Bull down the street , but it doesn't say owt about being seen with a cow on your arm, wonder why ?

....and in In Thailand, it is illegal to leave your house without wearing underwear. .....how they gonnna know if you are or not?? do they check?..lol

Does the boiling tripe and scrubbing your doorstep explain why the scrubbing of the doorstep was done on a regular basis? I remember my Nana in the 70's & 80's was always scrubbing her doorstep, does anyone still do that?

dont think thats the answer grego,but agree scrubbing of the step is not seen nowadays,me gran was always doin it also,with a pumee stone if i remember correctly, mind i,m talking 50s there.

EVERY taxi in London must carry a bail of hay on the back so the horses can eat. As taxis used to be horse drawn. Looking at accys taxis it look like we have took a step back sometimes
