According to Bill Turners widow in Church St.

She and I would also like to know what is actually being done with all the money collected to repair St John's Church. Trying to get info from the Church committee is like pulling teeth.
Why no publicity on progress, if any.
How much of the money been spent, and on what.

Old peeps talking war? I don’t think so, some have had that experience and would not wish it on others.

Back nearly on topic! The pals! A multiple choice question on Egg Heads and the team did not know of ‘Pals Battalions’ says a lot?

"We shall remember them!" Or some will.

I don't trust the Church Of England at all. I know things that I wont repeat on here that has made me feel this way.

I don't think they wanted to restore that Church in the first place and the money raised is probably a problem for them. They now have to repair the roof of a Church they don't want. They are short of Vicars and parishioners and wanted to close it anyway.

Only the diluted PC correct version, as if you go onto the days of Empire & Conquest, you'd upset 2/3rds of the class
