Well, better than without it mallard LOL.

I don't think any set rules either .. seen lots of women my age with long hair, and as long as cut correctly, can still look stunning.

My gran had long hair too G-c which she tied up similarly to what you describe, but think they probably couldn't afford a good cut or hair dyes and succumbed to their age then, which most of us pensioners now will not.
