Should they put a roof on Stonehenge?
It's reported that 30,000 people descended on Stonehenge to celebrate the arrival of dawn, on the morning of the summer solstice.
Sadly, but not unusually, the British weather put a dampner on things, as it was overcast, a bit drizzley, and the sun was nowhere to be seen.
With so much money available from the lottery, should they get the builders in for next year, and roof this ancient monument?
If it did have a roof would you still be able to smoke there, which a few people in this clip are doing?

Re: Should they put a roof on Stonehenge?
Just think how annoyed people would be if they all turn up on the day and miss the sunrise because the windows misted up.
Still, They could fit a motorised spotlight to the wall to simulate what it would look like if you could actually see the sun.

Re: Should they put a roof on Stonehenge?
Instead of running the risk of this England's finest ancient monument being ruined or defaced with this annual ritual, why don't we build a full size replica? I suggest onn top of the Coppice - that would be nice. Just think how much money that thirty thousand weirdo's turning up in Accy would do to spending in the local economy. Maybe Gayle could also arrange to stick the annual Mela up there at the same time. That would be fun!

I think Everest double glazing are missing out, concentrating on the highest pub in Britain in their television adverts.
If they put on a nice conservatory roof, and tilt and turn windows between the stones, it would be much more impressive than that draughty pub in Derbyshire.

Re: Should they put a roof on Stonehenge?
I also think it admirable that these people get up so early...at least once a year.

Re: Should they put a roof on Stonehenge?
yes they should put a roof on it and also put thick glass between the stones and make one hell of an awsome fish tank
we could then throw the druids to the sharks
problem soved

think they should put a roof on, build walls around it, then fire it when all the dingbats are inside.
