Re: Singing Ringing Tree, Burnley
Just a point though. Whether you like it or not, and aesthetics are very personal, it is getting publicity for Burnley - good publicity at that.

I wouldn't go that far .... It's interesting but far from beautiful ....... and I still wouldn't like owt like that on the top of the coppice. The scenery in the background is lovely and then you've got that thing shoved there spoiling it.

It's better than what that area was becoming famous for over the past few years

Crown Point. It had become a place where you needed a dog to take for a walk if you went up there.

Well at least Burnley folk will be able to whistle while they w**k with their dogs. I always thought there was something dodgy up there….

Re: Singing Ringing Tree, Burnley
Where is it getting publicity? There was a mention on Granada news but news is very quickly forgotten. How many people can now remember the one Blackburn have and where it is located?
It is a very freaky weird sound. I'd certainly not call it singing or ringing, but then again I wouldn't call it a tree either.
It doesn't look quite like the artists impression but then things never do do they? I'm not sure whether I find it attractive or not but I do agree that it's the best of the bunch.
