Just as any man made architecture or infrastructure does.

I've been trying to find a word which suitably describes the sound and if I was in Ireland I would call it "keening". So it's more of a keening tornado than a singing ringing tree.

Re: Singing Ringing Tree, Burnley

It seems there's a lot of jealousy around here that Burnley have such a wonderful piece of art in their borough.

It also appears that there's very little that would suit the residents of Hyndburn when it comes to having their own. How about killing two birds with one stone. Design a piece of artwork that's sort of slopes from front to back, something like a flat umbrella but very large. For location you could stick it out on a piece of land near the Crown pub, and wait for it, the beauty of this panopticon is that it could also be functional allowing people to shelter underneath it

Re: Singing Ringing Tree, Burnley

Mmmm i would rather a roof for the stanley than a panopticon anyday

Just thought if that was case we'd have our own singing roof - once we shove the ultra's in
