I also usually find that this particular fault is because the SCART lead needs pushing into the socket properly.

I suppose you use HMDI, so would I if the dammed sky box had a socket, recorder & tele has, but I'm waiting till the new transmissions come on line later this year. Then I can test the quality of recordings, or just switch over to FreeSat. Got two spare sockets on the dish.

Some of us still prefer the better picture from a CRT TV when watching basic channels.
