Re: smoking in the car with kids
Not all breathlessness is due to lung problems.
My breathing improved by over 50% just by correcting vitamin deficiencies

Re: smoking in the car with kids
Bloody hell Margaret you need to share this with the chest consultants...
That's amazing...a few vitamin tablets and supplements...50% improvement.
Ah no, I'm not mocking you, if that worked for you, fabulous. How? who cares?
You seem to have a lot of illnesses Margaret, I'm sad about that
<taking on board that vitamin deficiency leads to problems, but surely just eating ok, exercising regular, getting fresh air and sunlight will right that>

I have a gut damaged by prescription meds - so my problem is inadequate absorption. I have CFS and it is taking a long time to cure but I am getting there. Since few NHS docs recognise it as an illness, I am going it alone with some internet help.

I have reopened my blog. It may help others with similar problems.
The 'professionals' failed me - my blog provides more info.

Re: smoking in the car with kids
I just asked what the letters stood for
Thats what I was asking. So...Maybe I'll just google it
I'm sure blog is very interesting Margaret and thanks for offering to share that
Personally, for the majority, I'll recommend (and continue doing so) the generic, tried, rigorously tested and researched by clever, focused, innovative professionals medication types.

Obviously the G.P.s that you have been too are not the best in the world..........never mind Pete, one day you will hit the jackpot and be running round like a spring chicken.

If you look at what I've said Beni, I gave up to late as the damage was already done, but I'm in no doubt that if I hadn't have given up when I did we wouldn't be entering into our regular banter on here

CFS, susie is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I've just read some of the items which Margaret linked, seems very interesting, but in my case I'm to far gone and subscribe to your thinking, its to late to change ship after 30 years

Re: smoking in the car with kids
No sense could pass this law, surely.
Unlike the ban on using a mobile phone while driving, this smoking concern is not associated with the increased likelihood of a road accident. It's associated with the effect of smoking upon children in close proximity. Therefore, if the law was enforced for parents smoking in cars, the same logic would be able to pass a similar law for smoking in your own home while among children.
Most parents would agree that smoking around children is wrong - some wouldn't - but to make a legal issue out of it is (in my opinion) absurd. We're supposed to be giving parents more responsibility, not less.

Re: smoking in the car with kids
Why have kids in cars in the first place? Not one of of the little brats know how to behave - when they are not fidgeting they are crying or arguing or making the sort of silly comments that we constantly read on here. They are quite simply a distraction and a hazard to drivers. Still, if they have to get from A to B maybe we should have special kiddy cars with soundproof compartments in the back where they can be locked up for the duration of the journey.
