So, how are those petrol prices?

Now that crude prices are dropping, are things at the pump looking any better for you?

With the summer driving season at an end, our prices have been declining sharply. S.E. Missouri was selling at $1.80 a gallon this morning. Haven't checked the exchange rates today - but that should put it at around one pound sterling per gallon for you guys. Here in Georgia, we are not too far behind. Locally, I paid $2.10 a gallon last weekend. Expect it to be under $2 a gallon by Saturday. And still people complain that it's too high! I tell them - "Go to Europe and see how you like it!"

Re: So, how are those petrol prices?

I noticed the other day that the cost for unleaded was 87.9p per litre which is good considering that it just touched 101.99 a couple of months ago.

I remember my Dad once being horrified when petrol reached £1 a gallon! What he would have said to £1 a litre I dread to think.

Re: So, how are those petrol prices?

I paid $2.75 a US gallon (3.78 liters) this morning (71 cts a litre)
think it works out to 39 UK pence per liter .

that was at a "no-name" gas station , Shell and Chevron are about 3 cts higher .
What gets my goat is petrol/gas is cheaper over the hill in Nevada and they have no refineries , they get thier stuff from a pipeline over the Sierras from here in the Bay Area

I've just asked 'im indoors and he says that it's around 55 pence a litre here. Not bad, but it has doubled in price during the five years we have lived here.
