Re: speaking of xmas.......

I've just put most of mine up this afternoon being 1st of dec & saves my ears from kiddie nagging now least majority out of the way & can add the little things later & yeh had the xmas cd on too tho it feels like only yesterday i took down last years LOL

Not too bad one set of lights gone tho i'd put the huge fight to get them up 1st before i realised doh - the rest touch wood works till after xmas, my fav is my tree 5 mins & i was done, least it went up better this year & wasn't as stressed & pis$ed off with it as i was last year trying to get them lights up - so neighbours were safe nowt ended up being tossed over the big bush this time hehehee

Re: speaking of xmas.......

After just getting the living room back to normal again after the central heating being installed, i really cant be bothered dragging the tree and decs out yet, lol. Thats because when im trimming up, i muck up as well.... and the thought of chasing 4 cats down the tree .....and picking up tinsel every morning that they have managed to pinch from the fireplace......

Not until the 23rd of December....that is plenty soon enough.
My daughter used to think that Santa brought the tree and the fairies decorated it...it always went up on Christmas Eve when she had gone to bed.
It was hard work, but always worth the look on her face on Christmas morning.
I could never explain to her why other families had to put their own trees and decorations up though.

Re: speaking of xmas.......

I usually like to get my decorations up for the 1st of the month but we are decorating at the moment so hopefully they will be up for next week.

Must have them up by then otherwise there's no point and it dosen't feel like christmas without them

These days Christmas seems to start sometime in August.........I get fed up with it if it lasts for more than a couple of weeks....in fact i have been known to take the whole lot down on New Years day.
