Re: Speed Limits

When i was learning to drive my driving instructor told me off for speeding - i was only doing 85 mph on edenfield bypass! lol Speed cameras are there for a reason to stop you speeding. I can understand why you put them near schools or in accident black spots but why put one on Blackburn road between Rising Bridge and Baxenden - the one near alliance street. Theres nothing there except for a few houses. They would have been better off putting it in rising bridge - the amount of cars that speed through here plus we have a school and a pub that everyone falls out of drunk and has to cross the road.

Re: Speed Limits

I think there should be more speed limit signs. Quite often I'll be on a stretch of road, and there will be speed camera warning signs, but then no signs to remind you of what the speed limit actually is.

Re: Speed Limits

I always thought that the back of the speed camera should have the speed limit on it, that way there is no confusion.

Re: Speed Limits

Well when I got caught i was doing 42 in a 30, i thought i'd gone in the 30 from one side of town, through the town and out the 30 the other side. Your point is flawed if you start in a restriction and didn't drive in to that restriction, cos you wouldn't have seen the entry signs. The fact is that signs do work, and so do slow signs on the road, yet they choose to put a camera where they say is an accident black spot, yet there's no speed signs or slow markings.

Re: Speed Limits
