I heard on the wireless the other day that the police have developed a new method of beating the “slow down for a speed camera then speed up again after you have passed it” drivers.
A series of speed cameras along a road can now ‘talk’ to each other and record a driver’s average speed over that distance. Thus catching out the “slow down - speed up drivers”.

They have been using the specs average speed cameras on motorway roadworks for years. These news ones are just the same but talk to each other without wires so have a larger operating area.
