Although I do not attend church anymore father burke baptised me and whilst I was at st mary's and mount carmel I used to attend church at least once a week. Its a shame, he was a great priest

I don't want to be a pedant or anything but I think it's spelt Bourke.

Yes, i heard earlier, very sad, apparently found this morning in his bed so one can only hope that it was peaceful.

RIP

As I'm sure Fr. Bourke said many times himself:

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.

We heard earlier, he was on hols in Lake District so we were told. it's a real shame, I have no religious leanings but he was a help to us when we lost Len.
Rest in peace Father Bourke.

Father Bourke visited us many times during Len's illness, and after our Registry Office wedding, he held a service to bless our marriage. He was a kind and thoughtful man, and will be sorely missed.
