STAG TO open again
just heared the stag is going to open in next two weeks couple who once had bridge have got it

We were wondering about it the other day as it seems to be looking rather sad and neglected. Is it in a fit state to re-open after having been closed so long?

Rumour has it that Dave, who used to have the Bridge, in Church, then latterly the Crown, on Whalley Rd, is going to take it over.
This rumour is from the horse's mouth; Dave was talking to my boss in the bookies next door to the Stag, at lunchtime.

ok there has been interest for the past couple of months for the pub but nothing and no one yet has bought it, if someone was to buy it they will have a very big job on there hands it would take them months to open it up again, due to the fact that there is nothing left in there no thanks to the nasty little burglars and vandals that have ransacked the place. they have tried burning it down, ripped radiators of the walls,stolen alot of piping, broken most of the windows.
weve had so much trouble since moving out of there from the vandals and police. i must say though when i lived there i hated it but it was my home and to see the state its in now is quite upsetting!  hopefully though with the interest from some people it should be open once again in the near future. |

I didn't even know it was for sale. I must have misunderstood but I thought it belonged to a brewery and they were just looking for a manager/landlord type person.

You can tell i dont get out that often ..... i hadnt even noticed it was shut and ive drove past it a few times. ( Im too buisy watching for wandering rabbits
