It's in his signature. I thought that the two guilty UKIP MEPs had been chucked out of the party?

They were guilty as charged. They admitted it and they were then booted straight out. Unlike that sorry bunch of Tory miscreants, there was no pathetic excuse of "..acting in good faith and within the rules".

Quite right, even Mad Gord has had to suspend the worst offenders from the Parliamentary Labour Party. Strange then, that the boy David, who reckons he's so hot on clamping down on abuses, has not had the guts to suspend that greedy husband-and-wife team, Mackay and Kilbride from his party.
Inicidentally, one of the UKIP MEPs was found guilty of benefits fraud and was jailed for nine months. Although, he was booted out of UKIP, he kept his job as an MEP with its fat salary and tens of thousands of pounds worth of expenses (which far outweigh anything that our Parliament offers), because, unbelievably, if an MEP is sent down for less than a year, he keeps his job and all attendant benefits. Just one more fact about the EU that our politicians don't want you to know.

Re: Stop the bnp
The 'EU' has not had it's accounts passed by it's own Court of Auditors for the last dozen years. Every institution within it is a festering bag of corruption, which fits in perfectly well with Labour, the Tories and those pathetic little worms, the Lib-Dems.
By the way, don't label UKIP as some sort of watered down version of the BNP. There are eight Black/Asian candidates standing in June's Euro elections.

I'm going to in no way defend the Conservatives that have abused the system, whether they were in the rules or not. What you say though is not strictly true. UKIP investigated and did not kick the member out despite him embezzling thousands of pounds. He wasn't expelled from UKIP until it broke publicly and he was charged for his crimes. There is of course more but that isn't the point.
I would hope that MP's will follow suit in due course if they're guilty of fraud, which it seems clear some are! The political parties should have nothing to do with them. It would be wrong to try and suggest a particular party is behind it, it's the individual MP's themselves that have been milking the system, and will I hope be dealt with in the same way UKIP eventually dealt with their members.

As you seriously suggesting that Cameron would have taken action against his motley crew of miscreants, if the present scandal hadn't "broke publicly" in the Telegraph?

As I said, I was not for a second defending the Conservatives. Cameron has placed his former aide into an investigation despite him not being in the papers however. What I was trying to say is UKIP did not immediately remove their MEP's who were embezzling money. I am saying it's not a partisan issue, it's certain people not treating parliament and their position how it should be treated.

Re: Stop the bnp
Back on topic
Got a BNP leaflet through the door today. Before I burn this hateful garbage, I'll share a quote with you from the leaflet that just amplifies the stupidity of this party and the people who support it.
"We're fed up with being sent ill-equipped into foreign wars. The BNP will bring our troops home and ensure that British soldiers are not abused on the streets of our cities by Muslims".
Sorry, what!?! By Muslims? The rest of the quote was all fair enough, if simplistic and misguided, but ...by Muslims?!
While I was writing for the Telegraph we learned of a story where a troop returned to England to be greeted with a boot to the head from a white, English, Christian male. Should I run an advertising campaign claiming that only white, English, Christian males are out to attack our troops?
I don't see how anyone with anything about them could affiliate themselves with this party, let alone vote for them.
