I know there is suspicions about them but it seems everytime I see a black cat something weird happens.
Last time was winter at night as I walked passed a school with kids coming out and their parents. There was a busy road running by - suddenly a black cat ran across the road through all the traffic and onto the pavement - just at that moment a young woman fell flat on her face and a bunch of people crowded round asking if she was ok!
Just seemed odd that this happened as this cat came over.
I have experienced such 'action replays' recently.
I have realised that linear time isn't real - just a device our brains use to organise our 'reality'.
Strange smelling eggs are laid in the flowerpots every time next door's black cat comes into my back yard and I come over all angry and resentful.
Coincidence?
i hear chicken dipped in anti freeze prevents return visits
it must be the smell or somthing

ive just started a relationship with a blind woman !Its quite rewarding but quite challenging ! it took me ages to get her husbands voice right
I have a black cat ( rehomed as an abused cat and now I know why it was abused!) It's bloody horrible, vicious, constantly attacking me when I just walk past it, damn thing has tried to leg me up on the stairs about 3 times, and I'm sure it can time travel, it gets about the pad in a very suspicious manner. My other cat ( Eric ) is lovely but this one is just evil.

For well over 20 years a cat followed me.From the Scottish border well in to North Wales.
I never saw It but whenever I laid a Granite or Concrete floor/path the sod always left It's prints even If I had covered them up.

I had a black cat just like that Lindsay ... used to rub up against my legs (as they do to establish possession) and as soon as I moved he would go for my ankles. Would come and sit on my knee but dig its claws into my thighs. Wouldn't dare pick him up either as he objected strongly.
He did belong to my daughter and think he may have been a little untrusting as granddaughter was only young then and treated him like a doll .. dressing him up as such.
He disappeared about three years ago when I was on holiday and, despite his temperament, was quite upset and missed him.
Maybe you have him now, although can assure you he was not abused .. I was the one that was. Mind you, think he would be about 13/14 years now.
I have a Tuxedo Cat........all black apart from her chest which is like a shirt front....and she has white socks too.
She walked into my house a couple of months after my husband had his stroke, she draped herself around his shoulders, definitely making a big fuss of him....she was only a kitten....she brought his smile back(he had been quite low in mood)........we asked around to see who she belonged to, but no-one claimed her....so she stayed.
Himself paid for her to be neutered, and she is definitely his cat.
Lovely and gentle. That is my black cat story!

Yes, Margaret, nothing to do with the colour of hair (I hope).
Us Redheads having been putting up with categorising for years...
I'm just a puddycat really.
Yes Kate...but we all know that well sharpened claws come in handy sometimes
