Strictly Ice Dancing

Long, long time ago I used to go ice skating occassionally. I was never any good but could get around the rink without falling down and could sometimes do a fancy stopping thing. Anyway, after watching the ice dancing thing on TV, I decided that it was time Chris and I took Maddie and Zack to the rink. It would have been easier to take Bambi - Maddie's legs were both completely independent of each other and Zack kept complaining about the cold.

Anyone else been tempted to go ice skating lately?

The thought did cross my mind Gayle but considering the fact that the last time I was on an ice rink was in 1975 at the Silver Blades in Bradford I think I will give it a miss for now, but I agree it is tempting.

Last did it in Switzerland about five years ago.

Can't really say the ex Corrie sequined gliders, have inspired me to don another pair of skates again though.

Bonnie Langford has made me want to sqweem, and sqweem and sqweem once or twice though.

I have really enjoyed the series, it's def different. I would like to see stefan win, he has tried so hard and come through so many skate offs!! Bonnie seems to get through all the time cos her partner is good at throwing her around! Her skating is not that good.

I used to love ice skating...Mmmm might just ring up a friend and see if they want to go sometime

Only tried ice skating once, it was in Italy when I was 16. Out of the hour that we were on the ice, I spent about 59 minutes of it on my bum. I finally sneaked off behind the school trip coach for a crafty fag. I was much better at roller skating and used to go to the Vic in Clayton, Star Skate at Blackburn and the Nevada in Bolton.

I last went ice skating last year in moscow at an outdoor football pitch(they turn them into ice rinks in the winter). It was great, they had a beer tent so I only had to skate about 20 metres to get to that and then 20 metres to get back to the changing rooms again...

The nearest I get is frozen puddles on the paths near me. Have tried it but going too fast made me hit the deck very unceramoniusly. Not had the "urge" to try again as my bahookie will not take the punishment (lack of padding ).

Re: Strictly Ice Dancing

After watching Dancing on ice I've thought about taking the kids but I'm hopeless so will have to find someone that can actually skate to help me.
My mum likes ice skating even though she's not been in ages maybe i'll ask her to join us sometime.
