Sunday papers.

I was just about to go for a paper when my Mum called to wish me a happy new year, but mentioned that her paper hadn't been delivered. She called them but they were closed.

My local newsagent was closed too. Luckily the Co-op in Oswaldtwistle was open, and has a full range of Sunday newspaper, so I can read the news and see what's on the telly.

Re: Sunday papers.

You think they would have informed your mum that they would not be delivering the paper today. Luckily mine delivered as normal

Re: Sunday papers.

Better bimble up to the papershop for mine. As its owned by Asians along with the local store that has a booze section we are pretty much set.

Re: Sunday papers.

Our papershop told hubby that there would be no Sunday papers......hubby took this to mean that they were not being printed......I told him that there had been nothing in the Saturday paper to indicate that there was no paper today.....he was watching Jimmy Hill on the footie program and they were all quoting from the Sunday papers......hubby went up to the papershop......hoping to earn himself some favours of some sort....(he knows that the Sunday papers are essential to my health and well being.....didn't want me going off into a sad decline)......what do you think...? the papershop was closed. He was NOT impressed.....neither was I.
If we had known we could have taken our business to one of the Asian papershops.

Re: Sunday papers.

My local newagent has just been bought by a very friendly Asian guy. If the papers are printed, I don't understand why a lot of the newagents were closed. There wasn't one open in Ossy, just the Co-op thank goodness.
