Jaysay that's like saying Maggie Thatcher deliberately destroyed the mining industry just because she could, no decent politician would ever do such a thing, surely?

Mountains and molehills I reckon. The government need distractions, and this could be it, mass hysteria!! If you work out the numbers (150 million +) in Mexico, and 159 dead, (and they cant even be sure it is swine flu), it supposedly travels best through sneezing, (90 miles per hour, travelling 10 metres, and can infect 150 people in a few minutes), surely there would be far more casualties in Mexico than quoted, in my opinion, our media are helping the government to distract us from other things, like the expenses!

Conspiracy theories .... bs, massive piles of bs .... and while people take seriously this crap that wouldn't be out of place in a supermarket tabloid, the real problems are still there .... unless what is happening in the Arctic and in the Antarctic is caused by immense electric heaters placed under the ice by men in black. C'mon guys, whatever happened to keeping it real?

Fair enough jem...but if 125 have died so far in this world wide "pandemic" then in the same peroid of time more peple will have died from Malaria or AIDS...the last scare we had shoved on us was bird flu...in some reports we were told up to half the population of Britain would die!..before that it was SARS..I've forgotten what that was but they were closing down airports and walking around with face masks.. all over the top.
