Re: Tattoo's??
NO , certainly not , its just a thing that has stuck in my mind from being a youngster in the 50's when we were subjected to all the post war propaganda about how the bad the Germans and Japanese were.

I knew you wouldn't have, but what you posted just painted this weird picture in my mind.

Re: Tattoo's??
ok, dont want to cause any offense to anyone , I'm of an age where sailors have tattoos and maybe people of various ethnic groups where it is part of the culture e.g. Maoris in New Zealand , I'm sorry but when I see some "anglo" with a tribal tattoo it just seems out of place in my mind , bit like a white guy/gal with dredlocks , or Brits wearing leather clothes , Germans can wear leather ok , but Brits can't carry the look . just an observation .

Re: Tattoo's??
Don't do it, don't ruin your body, it will look even worse in ten years than it will when it's first done. Can't understand you girls wanting something permannet like that, you wouldn't wear the same clothes for the rest of your life, so why have the same 'painting' for the rest of your life. They look vile when wrinkley. Nearly everybody has them, they all have them in the same places, and usually one of a few designs. They say they have it because it looks good, in their opinion, but they have it done for themselves, even though they can't see it if it's on a shoulderblade.
Stealjack it seems that anyone who doesn't like tattoos these days is considered to be offensive.
That said I did find the little tattoo my very refined ex had a bit of a turn on, gave her that bit of a rebel slut look to contrast.

Slinks, if you promise me that you will not go ahead with this silly escapade, I promise you I will buy you a pint of lager and a bag of cheese & onion crisps at the next Accy web meet.

Re: Tattoo's??
Slinky, I think you should go for it, I have a small rose on my shoulder blade, its been there for 15 years now and I still dont regret it, I agree with Gayle its a scratchy kind of pain, not too bad at all. I would get it where it can be covered though and make sure the artist that does it is good at his/her job, mine is still as neat as the day it was done, dont have it done on any body part that sags!

If you really want one you will go ahead and get one, that is your choice.
Just don't use this bloke that was talked about in another topic on here, you will end up with something unique but will regret it for a long time!

Re: Tattoo's??
No.....I wouldn't ever be tattoo'd..........I don't really like to see them on ladies...however discreet they are........I always think of an 80 year old lady with a tattoo'd lower back/bum/shoulder/ankle....and it doesn't look good....but hey it's only a personal opinion.

Re: Tattoo's??
I've never been tattooed but I do have a piercing (at least it can be removed painlessly and free). I have to agree that tattoos look disgusting on old ladies so don't go for a body part that will sag.
I've also seen several young ladies who have small tasteful tattoos on their bellys. The only problem with this is that they stretch in pregnancy and look horrendous. I knew a young lass who had a small snake tattooed around her navel. It looked like an Anaconda when she got pregnant.....Yuk!!!

Yeh, you right Margaret, when older have to stretch the skin to see what it was
Aren't there some tattoos now that only last a certain amount of time ? .. that could be a compromise.
Gayle: Humph .. discreet place on yer ankle ? .. remember the recent play where we had nightmares in the dressing room on how to disguise this body marking 'cause ladies didn't have them during the 2nd world war.
