Re: Television .. 'not that I watch it much'

We have so many channels here its hard to stay fixed on anything, thank god they have a soccer channel so I don't have to watch the rest of the crap like Lost, how long does it take to find these people, please make it stop, with GPS and satellite tracking they would have been found before the end of the first episode, 24, now he comes out of retirement with no one knowing except a few bogus under cover people, ER, someones going to die, someones going to be saved, someone is going to get sha*&ed, there's a whole season for you. I could go on CSI, Law and Order, Numbers, House, all the same no imagination from these producers.

Talking Re: Television .. 'not that I watch it much'

Talking of Lost. Did I read the ad on TV the other day correctly that seemed to state that the next series of Lost is on DVD?

Does that mean that series 2 won’t appear on the jolly old goggle box? The one that I watch very selectively when I can drag myself away from the computer. Football, (of course) some sports, documentaries, news, gadgets, the odd potentially good film and anything that remotely resembles sci fi.

If so, is this going to start a trend? Put the first series on TV and then the subsequent series on DVD’s so that if we want to continue we will have to buy the DVD’s and make the makers of the series a fortune.

Or have I read it all wrong?

Lost series 2 is currently being aired in the USA - we are up to episode 12 now. They are probably releasing it on dvd just to get some money from the people who don't want to wait for it to be shown on uk tv, as I am sure there are many who will part with cash to see it before it is aired, seems a good idea to me....
However, if you can't wait for lost series 2 on uktv - it is allready available at bitmetv.org...

I got lost with Lost after the first episode.

I'm afraid there has to be a modicum of reality in a programme for me.

Yes It was quite good, I enjoyed it, it's different but still has that olde worlde oxford charm feel to it. Lewis is in charge with a new side kick. The story was based on a crime that morse had investigated before his departure, and several references were made to him. I'm sure you could download it off a site whispy.
Don't know if it was a one off but I think it would be just as popular as the morse series. It's good enough and different enoughto succeed in it's own right
