I wish I hadn't
As part of my job at DSS I used to give lectures about the benefits system to 'outside bodies' who asked for it.

The AEU club asked - it was the most difficult lecture I ever gave - I was heckled from start to finish - they directed their anger at the government at me.

Re: Temptations of the Flesh

And the rest, jay. And the rest. But enough about old mother goody-two-shoes. Let us return to the plans to convert Accrington into the North West's equivalent of what is known in Amsterdam as Het Rossebuurt. For anyone of an entrepreneurial frame of mind the myriad of empty shops in Accy town centre provide a wonderful business oportunity. And believe you me, don't the tourists love it!

It would also give them somewhere to go on a rainy Saturday afternoon when our tourist information office is shut.
