what a set of robbing sods tesco are its no wonder they can offer low insuance when they make so much muney on so called administrative costs

25 quid i think it was to change my adress when all they do is types as you talk so no administrative things happening there as the computer does the work

extra 150 quid because i moved 1 mile away to a new address with a so called bad postcode yet my new street is a lot quiter and secure than my old adress

Re: tesco insurance

Every year I go through the same procedure of phoning round for quotes for car insurance and every year I find a company to insure me cheaper than the latest quote from the current company, plain and simply because the insurance companies get greedy and inflate their prices when there is really no need to. I have 70% no claims bonus I have held a full licence for 39 years without a single accident or claim and this year More Than> wanted over £300 to insure me to drive a Toyota Carina 1.6GLI which incidentally is 13 years old, how they can justify that is beyond me when I was able to get the same cover from Lloyds TSB for £266, incredible!

Re: tesco insurance

the justigication is that it isnt what might hit you but what you might hit

i highly doubt i am going to be hitting any bloody feraris in accrington , although i have seen one or two about its still like hitting a needle in a haystack

incidently i just had my car written off by a bloody mica of all cars , i was hoping for somthing a little classier for my first crash

Re: tesco insurance

Well I haven't hit anything in 30 odd years so I am unlikely to start now. I know its tempting fate but I must simply be a good driver, it is a sad fact that we end up paying for everyone elses accidents and this is reflected in the annual insurance premium we pay.

Re: tesco insurance

I filled in the online application for Confused.com after my insurers yet again increased my quote, anyway my current insurer Direct Line was still cheaper than all the other companies so I'm sticking with them!

Ernie...give Saga a try...well as long as you are over 50 that is.....Hubby had an RS 2000 from new and was paying £700 with maximum no claims....Saga reduced it to less than £400....and that was with protected no claims.

Get over it Chav .. normal insurance practice, insurance companies have to minimise the risk to carry on insuring the rest of us. That's the name of the game.

My son, lives in Didsbury and lots more break in's around there (posh area actually and that's why) so he has to pay a higher premium. Quite right too, ya' would be grumbling if it were spread out evenly and you were paying the same rate as everybody else on the backs of areas like Brixton, etc. Chill hun.

Last conversation I had with you was that the area you were moving to was suspect, n'est pas ?
