Re: Thank for the Karma
I too think if your going to deduct karma then it should be compulsary to leave a name, Bert some people deduct karma for no reason at all, its sounds to me like someone was being very childish, I think its a shame that more people dont make a contribution to the community, myself included.

Re: Thank for the Karma
Grego they didn't take my Karma as when i have looked at when item was put to me in my User CP it was before i had any
Am just angry with that person for not just stating why they thought i was a T*T but what is wrong with doing some community work that has NOT been imposed by a court or am i getting too old to think that work in the coumminty is for free should be only for those put there by their own wrong doings?????????????????

Re: Thank for the Karma
Big Rindy hug, ((((((((((Bernard))))))))))))))))
It can be infuriating when people leave snidey comments with karma reductions, without leaving their name.
Ignore them, you know yourself they don't, and they don't have the courage of their convictions.
To you and all the other St/ John's Ambulancers who voluntarily give up their time to help and aid others, well done.
By the way when I met you, I did actually think there is a man who will sadly never make page 3.

Re: Thank for the Karma
I understand your frustration Bernard in being called a T*T especially anonymously, for no reason, though you didn't look like a little bird to me!

Re: Thank for the Karma
Perhaps the idiot might regret his or her actions on the day you are your colleagues save his or her miserable life. The life skill’s that can be learnt with St Johns and the sense of achievement of putting something back in to the wider community should be seen as its own reward. Those that seek to put your service down will be well served by it in an emergency……………

Re: Thank for the Karma
i think the SJA do a good job
when i was younger i did training with the SJA when it was near where the arndale is now above the old elite i think it was
i never quite got to the stage where i was sent out to help others like you guys do as with me been a teenager girls soon took up my spare time but the training i did learn has come in very handy on 2 occasions which i remeber very well where the persons involved may not have had such a happy ending if i had not had my training
besides them 2 occasions the training has come in handy from time to time
although i have now forgot most of the training i was given i reakon i still would be a good person to have on the scene of an accident because i have been taught how to handle certain situations etc
i think it can do no harm for kids to learn a little of what the SJA has to teach even if they dont decide to stay on and become full SJA members a little knowledge in first aid is better than no knowledge in first aid
one of my firends did stay on with the SJA and had the last laugh because the last time i was in touch with him he was covering football matches and rock concerts although i dont know if that was with the SJA or because he gets the work because he has SJA training

Re: Thank for the Karma
Thanks to Ber999t's original post my 7 year old has been twice(then they broke up for hols) and is really looking forward to going back 24/8 to start earning his badges. We see a lot of SJA because we go watching stockcar racing. Just remember without SJA car racing rock concerts football matches to name a few would not be possible as the Health and safety will not allow such happenings if they are not covered by trained first aid medics.

Hi!
Hi! I am a new member too and as to your unfortunate message I can only apologise to the decent (whom I have found to be all to me) members. Keep in touch and take care. Dont let an idit upset you, it is not worth it. It is them with the problem.

Re: Thank for the Karma
I would say that I find it difficult to believe that you came in for this abuse Ber999t, but unfortunately I don't. The world has its fair share of morons who call others for doing good. You only need to watch the news to see how the emergency services are treated, hoax calls, ambulance and fire personnel abused, abuse of nurses by patients and visitors etc. A voluntary organisation such as SJA will take its share of the stick by these imbeciles also.
After 18 years in the NHS nothing surprises me any more about how low people will stoop. I know that you must have come in for your share of the stick too Ber999t.
All I can say is that I hope that the imbecile who insulted you is brave enough to come onto this thread and admit it. I highly doubt it though....... Life has taught me that these kind of idiots have neither the honesty nor integrity to qualify as decent human beings...

Re: Thank for the Karma
Good point, Lettie. Come on, who ever you are, it was big and clever to make that remark wasn't it? Let's see just how big and clever you really are. No, of course you won't admit it because you a very small, very childish and very stupid individual.

Re: Thank for the Karma
Thanks for all of the support that has been shown not just for the fact that the members have voted with their fingers in stating that person to whom I started this thread has maybe read it but has not commented in reply.
Thanks for those of you that gave me Karma the comments that have been left have humbled me today (big softy here )
Didn't start thread to get Karma so will have to start dishing some out in my way to say thanks..:engsmil:
