This was something else that I mentioned. Am I suposed to let their delivery vehicles unload from my car park? Who pay's for the "Private Car Park" signs that I am going to have to place by the entrance to my premises?
The chippy can only unload infront of their building. I already allow the staff at both the chippy & buttie shop to park their cars on my car park. There's no way though that i'm allowing extra delivery vehicles. Maybe the delivery vehicles should park on the main road causing more problems.

Re: Thank You HBC
why can the deliverys not park down the side street jay? it only needs LCC to put a sign or road marking to allow this.

Re: Thank You HBC
Is the side street wide enough? Mind you people aren't supposed to park next to junctions either are they? (but they do)

The side street already has parked cars on it, & is only wide enough for one car to get through at a time.

They aren't supposed to park on double yellow lines or zig zags either but it's the norm on Blackburn Rd

Re: Thank You HBC

Re: Thank You HBC
Just thought i'd post a quick update. This morning a large lorry parked inside the gateway blocking access to delivery drivers to our premises. So, I decided that enough was enough & placed cones across the entrance after I had asked him to move his vehicle. Five minutes later look what happened.
The van (picture below) driver & his mate had just parked there while they went for their breakfast.
Come on Councilor Pritchard, please sort out this farce.

Re: Thank You HBC
You can also see from the photo, the tiny gap that was left for cars to get through. The fence hasn't stopped anybody from parking on the pavement, it's just made it harder for them to get back off afterwards. Hence they now block my gateway instead.

Re: Thank You HBC
This is what the new fence was supposed to prevent.

Re: Thank You HBC
I might be wrong on this one but from looking at the pics and the drop down kerb the shops more than likely have vehicle access to the front, they've parked there for as long as I can remember, I think the railings are more to stop people driving from the "parking places" at the front of the shops straight onto the main road, if they didn't want vehicles to use it they would have put up more bollards like they have at the other end. Doesn't sort your problem out with delivery vans blocking your access though
Edit - and the car in the pic shouldn't be where he is, he should be in front of the shops

Re: Thank You HBC
Yes it is illegal. Maybe the council dept concerned should be notified.
I was wondering if you would be posting a picture of a white van parking across your entrance actually

They will claimed its a sub contractor or that they (in their opinion) are entitled to park there to carry out a function thats nessessary and important.
