The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
I cannot believe that no one has yet posted their views on the Michael Jackson case! Where do I start?? Try this... http://channels.aolsvc.co.uk/news/article.adp?id=20050130172409990005
Does any Accyweb member know of ANY 40 plus men that can give ANY excuse for bedding young teenagers...and getting away with it???
I thought M. Jackson was the bees knees as a lad, loved his music, and albums like "Thriller" and "Bad" showed that his talent outlasted "boyhood" and showed he was a worldwide megastar...........
They say (in this country at least) innocent until proven guilty but he has already admitted to sleeping with children, YES, families are after his money but this should not detract from the reality which is that he is a dangerous pervert that needs to be put away! If he is found to be innocent, many others will follow in his footsteps to corrupt children and quote his court case as a defence!
He thinks he has Gods "blessing" to go to bed with children, I just hope that he does not have "America's" blessing!!

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
Whether he is guilty or not appears to be irrelevant, it is my guess that, like O.J. Simpson , he will get off scot free. Though I think that the estimated duration of this trial, of six months, is optimistic to say the least. Whatever the eventual verdict, his career, such as it is now , is ruined.

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
When I first saw the Martin Bashir interview where Michael Jackson said that it was a beautiful thing to share your bed with someone I realised that he just doesn't understand that this is not acceptable behaviour, whether he has actually molested the children or not. In a way I can understand how he doesn't realise this because he lives a cocooned existence cut off from the normality of life. What I don't understand is how the parents of these children can accept it as "normal" behaviour!
Just because it's Michael Jackson that makes it OK for him to sleep with children? I'm sure those very same parents would be totally horrified if Joe Bloggs down the road invited their son for an overnight "pyjama party" in his bedroom. They need to "translate" the situation into something closer to home like that and stop looking at Michael Jackson as if he is some kind of fairy tale non-human.
By his own admission he is guilty of inapprpriate behaviour and if it turns out that he has also sexually molested the children then I hope justice is done and that people finally realise that this isn't a case of people trying to make money out of him. I couldn't understand the parents of Jordy Chandler when they accepted a cash payout. No amount of millions would have satisfied me.

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
micheal jackson has stated that he wouldhbe dead than goto jail
after all these years we agree on somthing lol
if found guilty he desrves to die
on the side that he may be innocent plenty of parents willingly sent their children to his home knowing exactly what happens at his home
he has stated many times that the children sleep in his bed with him and still parents sent their children there probably hoping to blackmail millions out of him like that other kid did
i watche a program where phone recordings were played of the father of that kid who got millions telling micheal jackson to pay up millions or he would take him to court and make sure his reutation was wrecked
personaly i think that kid was told to lie by his father and groomed as to what to say by lawers
again if they do have REAL proof that he physicaly or sexualy assaulted a child then he deserves to die

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
If michael jackson is found guilty, does that not say a lot about the state of his mental health. Inside his own head he is still a child, so see's nothing wrong with what he has been doing. But being mentaly ill is no excuse. If found guilty of sexual abuse then throw the book at him, and if innocent get him help.Either way he is now a ruined man.I myself can not decide if he is guilty or not, because he is so screwed up. Just glad i'm not on the jury.

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
By his own admission he is "guilty" of sleeping with young boys. Without even consulting the children involved or the parents of the children involved there is something seriously wrong with a man in his 40s sleeping with young boys.
If anyone else were to admit to doing that the immediate reaction would be one of horrified disgust.

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
A lot of people who are on his side tend to dwell on his child-like qualities. However, this man is an adult and knows right from wrong. We all have some child-like traits, I like to watch a good Disney film now and then, some of us like the fairground and roller coasters, some of us like to play make believe and games with our own children and it's nice sometimes to do the childish things. It makes us cast aside the everyday worries of adult life. Ultimately though, we are adults and we should know where the line is and how not to cross it. One of the main differences between an adult and a child is that adults are capable of seeing consequences for their actions, whereas children, especially young children are not. That is something that is learned as life progresses. Mr Jackson is a multi-millionaire and idol to a lot of people. You do not get such a status by not having a head on your shoulders. I believe he knew full well what he was doing and what the consequences would be if caught.

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
As far as I am aware he hasn't admitted to anything more than sharing his bed although certain boys have said things to the contrary and described parts of his anatomy that they shouldn't have been able to describe.

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
This is another huge media circus. This mans career went down the gurgler some time ago......maybe he will get off scot free and then perhaps he will resurface as a performer, boosted by all the FREE publicity. Personally, I think he is sick in the head.

But is that down to the lawyers/parents grooming them?
And as far as language goes, there are kids younger than my eldest that have a wider range of the lesser-used vocabulary (in our house anyway). That is definitely down to the parents...
I am still undecided on this case. Michael Jackson said that he only slept in the same bed as them, that nothing actually happened. I am probably not that good a judge of character, but I found myself believing him, implausible though it sounds.
Maybe he feels he is trying to relive his lost childhood, but is going the wrong way about it.
Hell, I go to bed and most nights nothing happens - I sleep, then I wake up! Then the kids come in and jump on me!!!

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
I dont know wether he is guilty or not, time will tell but at the moment I personally am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I may be dubbed as closing my eyes to the situation but I cannot see how a man that is prepared to spend millions of dollars to make terminally ill kids enjoy the last few days of their lives at his home, enjoying anything that makes them happy, could abuse other kids. Yes he has been very stupid and ignored the warnings of previous events, but I still would not like to be on the jury and have to make a definate decision.

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
Yeah, maybe....... but would you take someone elses children and allow them to sleep in the same bed as you. The only way to be above suspicion is not to do it.
I would certainly be suspicious if a child of mine said they had been taken to bed by a non related adult.

Re: The Biggest Court Case Ever.......
I agree but going back to the interviw and film done with Opra Winfrey The kids were never alone in the bedroom with him. Several kids just chilled and lay wherever they wanted to do in the room. I thought at the time that Winfrey is quite an astute and worldly woman who, i'm sure would have been alerted then if she thought their was a problem.
