Re: The Blunkett Tapes
Well, I suppose that is his interpretation of cabinet meetings.
Much more interesting was the story in this morning's Times of the claims by the former Director-General of the Prison Service, Martin Narey, relating to the Lincoln jail riots. Blunkett apparently wanted the army sent in to regain control of the jail, and if neccessary, for rioting prisioners to be machine-gunned.
Quite frankly, on reading of this, I was sickened and appalled. David Blunkett was a labour home secretary who had finally come up with a solution to all the do-gooding liberal nonsense going on in our prisons - shoot the scumbags - and what did the government do? Sack him!
Disgusting!
