Cool Re: The Bush fires in Oz

Rather than posting you can follow the events as they unfold at http://www.talkgold.com/forum/r248675-.html

You don’t need to join to read.

Re: The Bush fires in Oz

I live a long way from Victoria now ...in Brisbane.....but I used to live there and know the areas well.....this terrible disaster has now become Australia,s worst with the death toll still rising....there are whole communitys where the fire went through and razed all the buildings to rubble. The terrible thing is that a lot of these communitys have not been searched for more bodys...it is envisaged that there are still hundreds buried in the rubble of these places.....

Cool Re: The Bush fires in Oz

Amongst all this carnage comes the heart warming story of Sam(antha) the koala who was rescued and now has a koala boy friend in the rescue centre.

Sadly this is just one story as opposed to the estimated hundreds of thousands of animals that lost their lives.

If there is an award for the best amateur video of the year then surely this must be it.

More malign effects of "green" intervention. People in these communities had complained for years that they were being prevented from chopping trees, clearing brush and cutting fire breaks near their homes. Sadly, we now see what that sort of madness brings.
