The Coppice and Peel Park
Hi everyone i am new to the site, I'm originally from Accrington however moved away a few years back. Im living back in Accrington now and have joined the site to enquire as to whether anybody knows anything about the yellow notices that have been put up on and around the Coppice and Peel Park. |

I ventured up again today and found out what they say, it's an appeal from a company asking if anyone knows who owns a bit of land at the bottom of the hill behind pinewood drive

A couple of years ago there was some dodgy company who were trying to landgrab some land in the coppice area, by using 'squatters rights'.

I couldn't honestly say whether or not its the same group however the company name isn't the same and it isn't the same piece of land in question. The signs don't mention anything to do with a land grab or adverse possesion, initially I thought it was to do with someones estate after death or regarding a beneficiary or something along those lines, could be and probably am wrong though haha
