The last film you watched?
Sort of similar to the 'What music are you listening to' thread over in the Music section.
So howsabout it? Last film you watched? Enjoyed it? Hated it?
I watched The Aviator the other night, the biographical drama about Howard Hughes. I've been wanting to watch it since it's release as I'm a big fan of Scorsese pictures but never got the chance until Saturday.
I thought the casting was brilliant (well, aside from her who played Katharine Hepburn - I've never wanted to punch an on screen character quite so much for their accent! ) the plot moved along brilliantly, quite dark themes intertwined with quite a lot of humour, typical Scorsese.
I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen it yet, it's a very good film all round.

Re: The last film you watched?
Being a Brittish film fan, A SENSE OF FREEDOM, 1978 scottish hard hitting film.
It's based on a true story of sixties Glasgow hard-nut Jimmy Boyle, sentenced wrongly for murder. A very violent, low budget film reminiccent of Scum.

Watched From Dusk till Dawn again the other night forgot how warped Tarantino films can be, still love them though. Also George Clooney, what a dish.

Sky West and Crooked - 1966.
Hailey Mills playing the part of Bride White; a young, lonely, slightly retarded girl who finds solace in burying dead animals, winding up the local villagers and running around with a gypsy played by Ian Mc Shane. Dated it maybe and perhaps a little tweedy by today’s standards but never the less an enjoyable family film.

Gosh, that really is a strange one .. was quite exciting 'til this dancer turned into a single lock Medusa (adventure to thriller in 2 minutes).. didn't know what to expect, then laughed all the way to 'The End'
I watched Tombraider Sat night on telly . couldn't keep me eyes off those lips of the actress who played Laura Croft .. lovely eyes, definitely collegen injections gone wrong . see the crevice in the bottom lip .. Ok .. being bitchy... Who was the guy playing opposite her with a Scottish accent though ? .. wouldn't mind a slice of him .. leave the crust on though ...

Re: The last film you watched?
I've watched a couple of films in the last week or so, both with Tom hanks in. First I watched the DaVinci Code, which I thoroughly enjoyed, although I don't know how acurate it is to the book as I've never read it, a good sleuthy type film. The second was You've Got Mail, being at my stage of pregnancy and on a chick flick binge, I really enjoyed it, especially as I'd never seen it before.
One other I've watched recently and really didn't fancy watching at the time was 300. It turned out to be a cracking film, if a little dark in places. I would also recommend this to any of the ladies who like historicy type films and lots of men showing well developed flesh!!! Six packs ahoy!!!!

Re: The last film you watched?
Watched Ghost Busters last week ... behind city hall in market square they have a large outdoor screen and every thursday they show a free movie. All you have to do is bring a chair. There are a couple of really nice pubs close at hand so that in the slow parts you can go grab a pint. Dan Aykroyd was there for part of the show. I've always like the movie, but it was the venue and the proximity of pints that made the night.
