The like button!

I had stopped frequenting these forums when the like button was introduced and my visits have been infrequent since and I have only recieved one like so far.

So should I suddenly start wanting to come here so I can get likes and feel that I am liked? I won't do that - I don't come her much now and I won't "work" to get likes!

Re: The like button!

I think the like button is to show what you have written is liked or agreed with, not that you are liked on a personal basis. Don't let it bother you, Kes.

Oh, for goodness sake! Get over yourself will you.
That is the lamest reason for not coming on a forum.
The 'Like' button means nothing in the real world...you know, that place where things matter.

Have you not been posting?
Why didn't you tell us I for one would have tried harder to miss you.
However, don't worry about us, someone new is posting down to your standard.

14 posts in 14 days. Not exactly opted out, have you?
Anyway, being 'liked' never bothered you before, you said what you 'liked' and seemed to enjoy the reaction so why so sensitive now.
Imagine if there was a 'dislike' button-I wonder what your score would have been in the old days when you were in full flow?
Stop being sensitive and start stirring again!(But not too much).

Re: The like button!

Ermm I never said the Like button stopped me coming here - I said I had already reduced the amount of time I spent here then I noticed the like button after that - my point is that, I don't intend increasing my visits and posts just to get more likes!

No-one would expect you to.
It means nothing and can easily be ignored if it bothers you.

Re: The like button!

There you are- you've been 'liked' twice already and without trying-that's not so bad is it?

Well obviously it bothers him, why else would he start a thread about it?
