BBC NEWS | UK | UK's oldest emigrant sails to NZ

102 yr old leaves England to move to New Zealand........ travelling by boat as well. Good luck to him and his wife.

I did wonder why on earth after 102 years in this country he would decide to emmigrate until I read that his wife is from New Zealand and they have been married 12 years. She will be returning home so that makes more sense to me.

You can be homesick for a place though. It doesn't necessarily automatically mean family although the chances are she does have generations of family there.
