The Pink Test Day

Today i have been watching scenes on tv from the Sydney cricket ground, which was awash with pink. It was the third day of the test match between Australia and England, and is dedicated to the late Jane McGrath, the English girl,who married the Australian cricketer Glen McGrath, who died of breast cancer, leaving two young children in 2008 age 42.
The Jane McGrath foundation was set up to help women who have been unlucky enough to get this dreaded disease, by providing breast care nurses, which cost $370,000 to train, to help them and their family cope with their illness. Up until today 100 nurses have been trained to do this special work since 2008, and have been posted to all the states in Australia. Almost everyone on the ground wore something pink, including the Australian and English players, who wore pink rimmed sunglasses. $450,000 was raised today for the foundation but i hope that no women wil ever need use of their service. On the down side, England have been soundly beaten.

Irene, it is a very good cause.
Way back.....I started a thread about helping women to get mammograms(OK...the site helps US women who are not rich enough to pay for mammograms - but to me it doesn't mateer where the woman is) at no cost to them.
I do it every day...have a little click. You used to be able to click a few times a day, but they have changed it now so you can only do it once each day.
