we have been able to buy something called Yukon Gold for awhile maybe the same thing but a different name , also available here is a potato with a purple/bluish flesh , different to look at but tastes the same as any other spud to me , supposed to be the 'real' original incan/aztec potato , but who knows, probably just some GM stuff grown near an atomic waste site

I've grown a potato called Yukon Gold that seems quite similar to this "new" Mayan variety. They are tasty but don't store well either in the ground or in the cellar like the red pontiacs and kennebecs. These will last well into spring.
